Welcome to our latest project, the 30S Pulse!

30S Pulse is an online survey that we have launched to capture the thoughts and views of our generation. The motivation of launching this project is really due to the fact that there is not much opportunity in Hong Kong today to reflect our voice. Most of the media and forums out there today are either much more focused on narrowly-based interest groups, or they represent the "populist" view, but not necessarily ours.

Below is an FAQ for 30S Pulse. We hope that this will enable you to understand more about us, what we are trying to achieve, and our privacy policies. Please contact us if you want to learn more about 30S Pulse.

Who are the panelists of 30S Pulse?
The panelists are participants of the 30SGroup who choose also to participate in 30S Pulse. Every participant of the 30SGroup is invited to participate in 30S Pulse. However, participation is also a commitment, and we ask that every person who participates should have a participation rate of at least 75% of the surveys. We will remove low-participation individuals from the survey in order to maintain a high quality panel.

How is this administered?
The survey questions of 30S Pulse will be sent via a third party hosted software to each participant, and survey answers will be collected and analyzed by our 30S Pulse team.

What do we do with the results?
First, all participants will receive a copy of the results of the survey through email. Second, results will be published on our website, www.30sgroup.org. Third, various newspapers and publications have already indicated significant interest in this project. We will selectively publish our findings through this channel.

How often will we conduct the 30S Pulse survey? What areas of content will 30S Pulse cover?
We aim to do this once a month. We may also cover time-sensitive events on an ad hoc basis. The content of the survey will be broad, since we aim to be a demographic-specific, but not content-specific forum. At a minimum, we will cover social, political, and environmental issues. We will also let members play a role in influencing the direction of the survey. Participants will see questions that will ask for their preference. In future, we will also let participants help form the surveys. So this is also a chance for our participants to shape the future of the very tool that we are using.

What is the relationship between 30S Pulse and 30S Group?
30S Pulse is a project sponsored and run under the 30SGroup. The administrators of 30S Pulse are also directors and participants of the parent Group. In accordance with the principles of the 30SGroup, we are not affiliated with any other organization and we have no preconceived political position. We hope to represent a segment of Hong Kong who cares about our community and wants to influence our future for the better.

Who is running 30S Pulse?
30S Pulse is the brainchild of Joe Ngai and Laurence Li, two Hong Kong natives who were once schoolmates at law school. Along with others from the 30SGroup - Miles Auyeung, Bryan Wong, and Henry Ho - they formed the founding team for 30S Pulse.
